The MOST important thing to keep your energy even throughout the day

The one thing that most assuredly will make your energy take a nose-dive during the day - unregulated blood sugar. If you have ANY of these symptoms:

  • your energy fluctuates throughout the day
  • you get tired between meals
  • you get tired mid-afternoon
  • you get tired right after a meal
  • you have issues falling or staying asleep
  • you gain weight easily
  • you have difficulty losing weight
  • you have nervousness or anxiety
  • you get the shakes if you haven’t eaten on time
  • intermittent rapid heart rate
  • dizziness
  • excessive hunger
  • you get “HANGRY”
  • you have polycystic ovarian syndrome or infertility

You more than likely have some kind of blood sugar issue. (whether it be high or low)

The crazy thing – is that most people have one of these issues!

The great thing – is that you can fix this!!

I would say the NUMBER ONE SYMPTOM that people complain of in my office is FATIGUE. And usually, it’s that they can’t keep their eyes open in the afternoon. And when it has to to with blood sugar, which is most of the time, it’s really so easy to fix.

How do you do it?

According to a 2018 report by the CDC, over 100 million Americans are affected by either diabetes or pre-diabetes. This is when blood sugar is chronically too high. When we include hypoglycemia (people who tend to have anxiety) – which is blood sugar that tends to go too low, the number goes even higher.

I have been fascinated by this topic for over twenty years – not only because I have been a culprit of daytime fatigue (falling asleep drooling on my desk in high school and college, and then after kids desperate to stay awake after lunch), but also because so many people have these issues.

Why does this happen? There are so many reasons for high or low blood sugar (also known as blood sugar dysregulation). That energy dive around 3 or 4 o’clock. The need for a coffee or a cookie right after lunch. Sometimes even nodding off right before lunch. This happens when we:

  • skip meals
  • over eat
  • eat at the wrong times
  • don’t get enough fat, protein or fiber
  • have too many toxins in our systems
  • have candida overgrowth or other GI infections
  • have a high sugar diet
  • have adrenal fatigue
  • have chronic stress

Sound like you? I’m guessing one of those things resonates. So…

What can we do to fix it? I could give you a laundry list of things to do that would not only eliminate your afternoon fatigue and keep your energy stable throughout the day, make you lose weight easily, fix your sleep issues and balance your hormones, but you’d probably like just one thing, right?

The quick fix to stabilize your energy. In my last post, I recommended a green drink as a snack. And this is because that snack, if taken early mid-morning and early mid-afternoon, will help keep your blood sugar stable. The kind of meal you have is definitely important.

BUT, if you

Eat within 30 minutes of waking and then every 2.5-3 hours throughout the day, your blood sugar will be so much more stable.

This is the easiest way I know of to eliminate those energy dips and keep your energy even throughout the day.

I REALLY recommend you try it today.

If it helps, but doesn’t completely fix it, there are other things that need to be tweaked. We have an APPLICATION for those of you who really want to dive in and fix things.

But I highly recommend you give this a try. And please, let me know if it works for you! I made this discovery about 8 years ago. And it changed my life. It could change your life too!
