Dr. Samia McCully holds a Bachelor of Science in physiology and psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She has her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University.

Why Natural Medicine?

During college, Dr. McCully developed some digestive problems. After two years of treatment with prescription medications and no relief, she was taken to a naturopathic doctor. By simply changing her diet and avoiding a few aggravating foods, her digestion improved dramatically. This experience ignited a fire of interest in natural medicine that only grew as she learned more.

Life Experiences

After college graduation, Dr. McCully journeyed overseas to teach English as a second language in Korea. After a brief stint, she chose to continue her overseas teaching experience and taught primary school in the United Arab Emirates for several years. During this time she had the opportunity to travel extensively and was able to experience many different cultures. Her yearning for new experiences, combined with great curiosity and fascination with health, lead her to Bastyr University, the world’s leading school for natural medicine.
