Get To Know Samia McCully, ND

Naturopathic Doctor/Founder & CEO of Wellness Architecture

Education

Dr. Samia McCully earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and went on to complete her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University.

Naturopathic doctors are required to complete 60 hours of continuing medical education every two years—but for Dr. McCully, learning is more than a requirement; it’s a passion. She’s an enthusiastic lifelong learner who attends medical conferences, listens to expert podcasts, reads widely, and seeks out new ideas well beyond traditional “medical education.” Altogether, she has accrued more than 10,000 hours of post-graduate study in health and medicine.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Samia McCully, ND, is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Menlo Park, California, with over 20 years and 15,000 hours of clinical experience. She specializes in complex, unresolved cases—patients who have fallen through the cracks of both conventional and functional medicine. Often called the “last stop” for individuals who’ve seen multiple specialists without answers, Dr. McCully has developed a unique process that allows her to see what others miss. Her work helps patients finally find resolution for conditions once thought unsolvable.

Why Natural Medicine?

During her college years, Dr. McCully developed chronic digestive issues. After two years of prescription treatments that offered no relief, she visited a naturopathic doctor who helped her identify a few key dietary triggers. Simply changing her diet led to a dramatic improvement in her health—and a profound realization. That experience lit a lifelong passion for natural medicine and the body’s incredible ability to heal when given the right support.

Life Experiences

After earning her undergraduate degree, Dr. McCully spent three years teaching abroad in South Korea, the United Arab Emirates. During that time she traveled extensively throughout the middle east, Europe and Asia. Her time overseas deepened her appreciation for cultural diversity and the many ways people approach food, health, and healing.

At age 25, she reunited with her Lebanese father in Lebanon after not seeing him since she was 15 months old—a meeting that reshaped her sense of identity and belonging. During her many stays in Lebanon, she immersed herself in family life and local traditions, from hand-picking olives and pressing them into oil to foraging herbs in the mountains with her father—who, fittingly, was known as the village healer. Watching him treat both people and animals with plants and natural remedies felt like a calling coming full circle.

Driven by curiosity and a love of discovery, Dr. McCully went on to study at Bastyr University—the world’s leading school of natural medicine. After graduation and more travel, she founded Wellness Architecture, a place where education, empowerment, and practical healing come together to help people transform their health.

Today, Dr. McCully lives in Menlo Park with her husband and three children (ages 10, 13, and 16). She loves to experiment with new healing modalities, walking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
