Fees & Insurance

Payment is expected at the time of service. We prefer a check or cash, but we also major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)/debit cards (with the Visa/MasterCard logo).

We require a credit card number to hold your first appointment. Because our time is valuable, we require two business days notice to change or cancel your appointment. The fee for a missed appointment is 100% of the service fee.

Insurance

Wellness Architecture does not bill insurance companies directly, but we are happy to give you a Super Bill with the appropriate CPT & ICD 10 Codes needed for insurance reimbursement.

Depending on your policy, insurance may cover office visits with us as out-of-network providers. Our receipts will be coded so that you can submit them either to insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for your consults, lab fees, treatments and supplements. There is no reimbursement option right now for Medi-Cal, Medicare, Tri-Care and most HMO’s except sometimes Kaiser.

Many PPOs will reimburse depending on your plan. An HSA (health savings account) and Flex Spending are also payment options. They will often cover consultations, labs and supplements. HMOs do not reimburse for naturopathic medicine.

Most labs are covered by PPO plans. Unfortunately, this is not the case for HMOs. However, we are often able to work with HMO doctors to enable some lab coverage. Our standard labs (LabCorp, Principal Labs, Quest, BioReferrence and Boston Heart), are usually covered by most insurance plans.

WANS also utilizes specialty labs, such as those ordered for adrenal Panels, genetic testing, food allergy panels, stool candida and parasite tests, hormone panels, heavy metals etc. and are performed by specialty diagnostic companies (Alletess Food Sensitivity, Sanesco, Labrix, Doctor’s Data, Color24 and Courtagen Genetic Testing) may or may not be reimbursed by your insurance. It is best to call customer service of your health plan to inquire.

If you have additional questions please do not hesitate to contact Wellness Architecture!
