Losing/gaining weight can be difficult. Do you find that despite your best efforts, you just can’t seem to lose weight? Whether it is 10 pounds or 100 pounds, sometimes the reason people have difficulty losing weight is out of their control. There are many underlying medical reasons you may not be losing weight:

  • Adrenal fatigue
  • Blood sugar disorder
  • Digestive disorder/GI infection
  • Food sensitivities
  • Lack of sleep
  • Stress
  • Thyroid disorder

Once these conditions are diagnosed and treated, losing weight becomes much easier. This often happens without dieting. At Wellness Architecture we don’t believe in counting calories. There is a right diet for everyone – which is often not what you think. A healthy food for one person may not be a healthy food for another person.

IF...You need to make pancakes. And that is a big IF. I try to give my kids eggs or a protein shake most mornings to keep their blood sugar stable. But once a week or so, I will make them pancakes. And I've gotten pretty good at making them healthier. Less likely to cause a sugar crash. In fact, my 11 year old son, Max, stopped eating them for a while because he said he would always get tired a couple hours after eating them.
